Participant profile
• Open to academics, researchers, master’s and doctoral students, and professionals affiliated with academic institutions.
• There is no age limit for participation.

Language requirement
A minimum B2 level of English is recommended, as IAP Symposia are conducted in English and active participation in discussions is encouraged. Required readings are also in English.

Selection process
•Applications are assessed by the IAP Selection Committee according to the program’s
selection criteria.
• Priority is given to diversity across academic and professional profiles, institutions, and countries.

Travel and accommodation
Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and accommodation. As flights and accommodation tend to fill up quickly, early booking is strongly recommended.
The IAP provides a list of suggested accommodation options and, when available, access to special rates or discounts offered to IAP participants by selected hotels. Participants are responsible for making their own reservations. To protect against unforeseen events, participants are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance for their airline tickets.

Consecutive participation
Applications are not accepted from individuals who have participated in an IAP Symposium during the previous two years.
